Between Sydney and Newcastle, and a little dearer than both
The Central Coast sits on the M1 between Sydney and Newcastle, and its prices move with both: day for day, its average unleaded price tracks Sydney's and Newcastle's closely. Since April 2026 it has averaged about 2¢/L above each of them.
The lakes run cheaper than the peninsula
Across September 2026 the cheaper stations were around the Tuggerah Lakes, in Long Jetty, Berkeley Vale and Tuggerah, a few cents under the regional average. The dearer end was in the south-east: Erina and Kincumber, and the Woy Woy–Umina peninsula, where stations averaged around 4–6¢/L above it. On a typical day about 13¢/L separated the cheaper and dearer stations.
Live NSW data
Central Coast prices come from NSW FuelCheck, which requires every retailer to report a price change within 30 minutes, so the stations listed here are close to live.
